Giving to the Rec

The Student Development Fund

Aligning with the Division of Student Affairs and Colorado State University’s mission and values to support students’ success, as well as professional growth and development, Campus Recreation is seeking donations to fulfill an endowment that provides various scholarship awards to Campus Recreation student employees to:  attend trainings, complete certifications/licensure, participate at regional/national conference, and represent CSU at regional/national NIRSA association events.

Having the ability to award scholarships not only benefits the recipient personally and professionally, but also the Campus Recreation department and University community. A student recipient returns to the department with new knowledge, improved skills, and an appreciation that translates to a committed employee. It also provides an opportunity for the employee to role model professional development to peers within a specific program area, ultimately improving the Campus Recreation workforce and service to the University community.

Campus Recreation supports 300+ students with on-campus employment. This endowment will aid in the effort to continually develop leadership skills and technical abilities beyond the scope of their campus job and help prepare them for their future career.
