Our women’s basketball club team was created by players, for players. Everyone is welcome, whether you have loved basketball for years or are looking to try something new! We hold tryouts at the beginning of both the fall and spring semester, looking to fill both a travel team and local team of ten players each. Our travel team has been to Arizona, California, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, along with playing a few junior colleges to compete in tournaments. Our local team has played teams such as Air Force, CU Denver, Colorado Mesa, Colorado School of Mines, and Wyoming. These teams are both competitive (at minimum high school varsity level), and looking for dedicated and positive players to fill the spots. We also have practice players, for those with tighter schedules or just looking for a good workout. Our dues vary by team, ranging from $75-$250. These dues go to tournament fees, referees, equipment, uniforms, and travel.

As our club continues to grow, we are continually trying to foster the fun, encouraging, and competitive environment we have worked so hard to build since we have started. We want each player to have fun, get exercise in, and meet new people all while sharing a common love for the sport of basketball. We highly prioritize team chemistry, implementing various team bonding activities, not just involving basketball! These include bonfires, team dinners, team study sessions, game nights, attending CSU sporting events together, and more. We understand that players have other commitments, and that academics take priority. Open communication is valued on this team and is vital to its functioning.
