ABOUT US

We are a club baseball team that competes in the Mid-America West Region of the National Club Baseball Association. We hold tryouts during the second week of the fall semester and carry a roster of 30-35 players into our fall season, which is focused on player development. We make cuts at the end of the fall and carry about 25 players into our competitive spring season, where we compete against nearby community and junior colleges to prepare for conference and postseason play.

THE SEASON

We play around 25 games in an average fall season, ranging from intersquads and scrimmages against high school teams to games against junior colleges and other teams in our conference. In the spring, we play about 20 preseason games to prepare for our sixteen-game conference schedule. The other teams in our conference are University of Colorado Boulder, University of Wyoming, University of Northern Colorado, and Colorado School of Mines. If we reach our annual goal of winning our conference, we compete in a four-team regional playoff tournament. The winner moves on to the national tournament that lasts until early June.

HISTORY AND TEAM DYNAMICS

We are 6x national champions, 14x regional champions, and 18x conference champions. Last season, we finished second in our conference and secured an at-large bid to compete in the regional tournament in Kearney, Nebraska. We strive to maintain a culture of working hard and winning baseball games, but not without having a good time. Our team consists of people who love to play baseball and are able to have fun while holding their competitive edge. To maintain the success of the program, top quality, highly motivated individuals are needed, whether you are coming off your senior season in high school or haven’t picked up a baseball in a few years.
