The Club Tennis Team at Colorado State University is a coed group of former high school players that are looking to maintain and further their skills through regular practice and friendly competition. There is a tryout process the second and third weeks of the fall semester and then the remaining players are split up into three teams (A, B and C). For anyone who does not make one of the three teams or cannot meet the time commitment, there is a practice squad available to anyone. It is the team’s goal to enhance each student’s overall experience at CSU by providing an opportunity to grow as a player as well as make connections with fellow students. We greatly value a sense of community and inclusion and welcome all players to tryout!

In the fall, the teams travel and competes against CU Boulder, University of Denver, University of Northern Colorado, and University of Wyoming. In the spring, the team has their sectionals tournament in Salt Lake City, UT and all teams in the intermountain section compete for a bid to nationals. The CSU team has competed in the last four national championships, with the most recent being at the USTA national campus in Orlando, FL. The team has also traveled to tournaments in New Orleans (LA), Lawrence (KS), Madison (WI), and Fresno (CA). The USTA provides teams across the country with amazing opportunities to continue progressing as students and players.
