Illustrated Building Design of the Rec

Welcome to Campus!

It is so nice to meet you! (Well, figuratively, since we are talking to you through a page on our website…but still). We are Campus Recreation, a department within the Division of Student Affairs with a passion for health and wellness. It is our mission to support your recreation and wellbeing endeavors and goals throughout your time here at CSU (and maybe even beyond)! We have a variety of programs and services set up to do just that. Welcome to the Rec’ing Ram fam. We think you’ll really love it.

Rec Center Hours

Building hours are adjusted for University holidays, special events, maintenance closures, fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Unscheduled building closures will be communicated via Instagram (@csurec), through our app, and here on our website.

WeREC Logo. Respect. Empower. Care

Campus Recreation should be a space for everyone, and it takes the entire community to help achieve that goal. So how do #WeREC? We REC by Respecting each other’s identities and boundaries, Empowering ourselves and our friends to always contribute positively to this community, and by always Caring about the health and well being of every Ram.

Inclusive Rec

Our department is dedicated to providing inclusive spaces and programs to our diverse campus community so that every single person feels welcome, no matter their background. We have a variety of inclusive facilities such as all gender restrooms and changing rooms, nursing parent spaces, adaptive equipment, and more. Our inclusive policies include participation in IM Sports and facilities based on a person’s gender identity, non-gendered attire policies, and more. We also try to accommodate individuals in all areas of our department, so if you’re interested in joining a class, trip, course, or event and are worried about accommodations, just reach out to the respective professional staff contact to discuss your options.

Gym-Timidation is Real

Worried about working out? Unsure about what to do or concerned about feeling awkward? Gym-timidation is real and we are here to help you through it. At Campus Recreation we are serious about our goal to make sure the Student Recreation Center is a great place on campus for every single Ram, no matter your body type, athletic ability, or past fitness experience. Come by and take a tour with one of our knowledgeable student staff members, watch our workout videos on YouTube, and don’t be afraid to ask our staff questions. We’ve all been new to something before, and we promise you’ll be happy you took the leap.
