Colorado State Women’s Club soccer is a student-led organization. As a team, they
rely on their own fundraising efforts and the support of the community to help with travel costs
for the annual tournaments they attend across the country. (little financial assistance
comes from the school).

The team practices four days a week, and during League, they play in one or two games a
week against teams from Colorado and Wyoming. Every year, the team competes in
tournaments in Santa Barbara, California and Boulder, Colorado. They won their most
recent championship, the Boulder tournament, in 2015.

CSU Women's Club soccer also competes in Regionals and the National Intramural and
Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) National Tournament. In 2015, they were National
Championship Finalists.

Last season, the team was undefeated in League play, and were quarterfinalists in the
National Tournament in Alabama. This upcoming year, they will be playing at
Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona, and are hungry to bring a National Title back to Fort
Collins.

Outside of soccer, the program provides students with an excellent opportunity to
develop leadership skills, responsibility, and quality athletics that will benefit them
long after they graduate. Beyond the season, the team works with the community, helps
local soccer clubs, and fundraises with the Colorado Rapids, rounding out the club
sport experience.
