The Outdoor Program hosts a variety of free clinics throughout the year as well as special events and certification classes. Check out this semester's offerings below, and sign up at the Service Center, or use our purchasing website to reserve your spot online. No need to reserve spaces in the free clinics, just stop by!

Spring 2019 Clinics

All clinics and shows are on Tuesday nights from 5-6 p.m in the Outdoor Resource Room

Wilderness First Responder

The NOLS Wilderness First Responder (WFR) is the industry standard for professional guides, trip leaders, search and rescue team members, outdoor recreationists, and international travelers. After this 80-hour course, you will be able to conduct a thorough physical exam, obtain a patient history, assess vital signs, provide emergency care in the wilderness, and make crucial evacuation decisions. You'll learn both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather, so come prepared for wet, muddy, cold, or hot environments!

July 15th - 24th, 2019

 

Maintain the first level of Wilderness Medicine care with this 24-hour course. The Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS will recertify most current WFR certificate holders.
