The Outdoor Program hosts a variety of free clinics throughout the year as well as special events and certification classes. Check out this semester's offerings below, and sign up at the Service Center, or use our purchasing website to reserve your spot online. No need to reserve spaces in the free clinics, just stop by!

CLINICS  

All clinics and shows are on Tuesday nights from 5-6 p.m in the Outdoor Resource Room

New to Northern Colorado and want to know where to climb? This clinic explores beautiful areas around Horsetooth Reservoir, in Rocky Mountain National Park, and other places surrounding Fort Collins.

Prepare yourself for the challenge of summiting one of Colorado’s iconic 14,000 foot mountains. Discussion includes choosing the right mountain, safety, gear, and training.

Food never tastes as good as it does in the backcountry! Come learn the basics of backcountry cooking and eat what you learned. You’ll be fueled up for your next adventure.

FALL 2017 EVENTS

WILDERNESS FIRST RESPONDER

The gold standard of wilderness medical care is the 80-hour Wilderness First Responder certificate. The Outdoor Program has partnered with the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS in this certification to deliver the highest quality course available.
