Campus Recreation is the third largest employer of students on campus. If you are looking for a fun, healthy, rewarding collegiate work experience, Campus Recreation is the place for you.
Student Positions and Structure
Student staff are responsible for the complete operations of the Student Recreation Center, under the helpful supervision of the Professional Staff. Student positions range from building managers, service center assistants, graphic designers, lifeguards, intramural officials, group fitness instructors, equipment supervisors, and many, many more.
Each program area within Campus Recreation independently hires their own student staff depending on the need, which means jobs become available throughout the year. Although there is no set hiring timeline, most areas have their largest hiring period at the beginning of each semester. We encourage you to check back often to see open positions, and if you are interested in a particular position, try contacting the staff that oversee that area (i.e. intramural officials are hired by the Intramural Program Assistant Director and Coordinator).
